Allowing players to max out the gamma gives you an extreme advantage over those who don't. You're able to see in complete darkness where you realistically shouldn't. The game should have fixed gamma settings like 2.2 and 2.4

normal and max gamma... this cant be right

While night operations or low-light locations provide a very atmospheric and increased-difficulty gameplay, that can be completely annihilated by increasing image gamma setting. I propose to you to either limit it or eliminate completely and introduce NVG, for example.
Also, derived from this proposal I could suggest buffing blinding effect of flashlights so they could be used in face-to-face combat a bit safer for equipping side.

It is currently similar to wallhacks if u are not ramping ur gamma settings to max during night or evenings! That is basically an ingame wallhack that gets absolutely abused. U are going for so much realism and ur not able to make Gamma presets so that everyone is required to use Flashlights during dark map settings(night time) i just Alt F4ed because they abuse that to absurdity!
Happypy07 Sept
When you play night/dark maps some player abuse with the screen gamma so you get killed by a shadow monster...
Body cam is about realism so i think use only the flashlight might be better ( if you kill bcs i have my lights thats fair )

The gamma slided ruins the experience for both people who abuse it and people who don't abuse it to see in the dark.
People who don't abuse it would play at a severe disadvantage and would be blind in the dark, they would get punished for wanting to keep the game looking immersive.
People who abuse gamma would have the game look awful in the dark and ruin their immersion of the game.
Before the locked and loaded update the gamma option didnt exist, and it was for the better.

Honestly this is all in all a nice ingame setting that I would approve of. Would it not be such an INSANE GAME ADVANTAGE to change it between rounds (depending on if it's day or night time). Obviously the availability of this option doesn't FORCE me to always change it between rounds, but I noticed a lot of people actually constantly use it. This makes me feel like if I don't go into my settings and change gamma every single round I'M the one at a disadvantage. This is especially frustrating in the competitive gamemode, where making sure you perform actually matters. So basically, going into my settings every single round isn't fun. If you can't customise your loadout, WHY can you change your gamma mid match (and please decrease the maximum it can even go to).

You can no longer hide in the dark because people just crank their gamma to the max and just see everywhere which makes the game unplayable for normal players.

Gamma in settigns is too open meaning it gives option to almost see in pitchblack killig purpose of the darkness in the game. Also in combination with Black equilazer on display giving players advantage against players playing pitchblack as intended.
Combined setting gives me map basicaly as even lighter than when its a day map. I have seen already few players abusing it.

I was on a team when I heard a User say "turn up the gamma", other User replied " I can see clearly"

The occasional nighttime version of maps and darker areas that Bodycam offers are a good attempt at something refreshing, but outside tools for and even the ingame settings for Gamma correction make it instantly obsolete and frustrating to deal with; in order to play the game at a competitive level you basically need to have an outside tool ready to fry your own eyeballs, which I could understand being a turnoff to new players. A rework of how darkness is achieved OR an in-world answer to the problem like night vision goggles or whatever the devs think is best needs to be implemented while player population is at its peak.
ALSO
Optics look very cloudy or too dark to see through, making them a visual disadvantage rather than the intended visual advantage. In the real world, this is not the case unless you are using a cheap optic that I doubt these soldiers would be equipped with ingame.

Being able to set gamma to 3 or 4 ruins the purpose of the flashlight in the game as its possible to make all dark areas visible by turning up the gamma.

i don't want to have to play this game at max gamma just to stay alive in public matches. i used to enjoy private matches when they buffed me progression because i don't have to sweat to live. but now i can only earn money through public matches and even that's almost as slow as private now because other people only want to win and set their gamma so high they can see in the dark without illumination. so i either have to meta game and max out my gamma which ruins the game imo, or i make half the progression fighting bots. below i have attached a photo of spawn where i have been getting sniped 10 seconds in. that is what i see then there's a scope glint and I'm dead.

Please add a feature when gamma level is adjust automatically. This would make the game better !!!!

If you turn the gamma up all the way, you have a big advantage over anyone who doesn't do the same. The advantage is so big that if you are playing against someone in a map that has switched over to night, or that just has dark rooms, you are always going to see them first. They may never even see you. This defeats the purpose of having any dark environments. You should definitely be able to adjust the gamma but not to the extent of being able to make a map on night mode completely visible everywhere, without even using the flashlight.
