Use Authentic Weapon Names

Under considerationby blake · 03 Sept

Use accurate military or manufacturer designations for weapons wherever licensing permits, rather than informal nicknames such as “Deagle.” When official names cannot be used, weapons could instead receive consistent fictional, military-inspired, or calibre-based designations that fit the game’s realistic setting. These naming conventions should be applied consistently across the loadout menu, store, and HUD to improve clarity and immersion.

I would like to see this for attachments too. I'd rather see a Sig Romeo 5 Red Dot on my rifle rather than a Sug Dude-Annihilator 5000 Supersight on it. This suggestion would make it much easier to copy a Player's personal firearm in real life too, adding to the immersion.

I think it is very difficult due to copyright reasons, I may be wrong though

I agree. Apparently the reason AAA games however and I'm assuming this one too have moved away from real names is because companies have started suing publishers over the guns. If you know anything about real fire arms manufacturers too, they aren't afraid to sue *cough cough rare breed*.

pretty sure devs already doing it. U think AK, glock and other guns dont have license? Pretty much everything has besides ww2 and ww1 weapons, not all tho
