Add a Friendly Indicator to Allied Drones
Under considerationby Bruce almighty · 02 Sept
Display a clear but subtle friendly indicator, such as a green outline or HUD marker, around drones deployed by teammates.
The existing green LED can be difficult to recognize, particularly at a distance or during combat. Making allied drones easier to identify would help prevent players from accidentally shooting or destroying their teammates’ equipment.

Identify friendly drones the same way you identify teammates. Friendlies keep shooting my drone.

When friendlies use FPV u dont see their green overlay NOR any indication of them being friendly. This got me killed A LOT. PLS fix!!!

Yup. The little lights do not do enough. Needing to double check if the drones friendly via some little lights sucks and rewards shooring friendly drones.

I think this is valuable feedback but I dont think I agree with the green rectangle mechanic you propose. It's a solution, like the teammate indicators, but in real war you can only discern drone models, you don't know who pilots them. It's up to the drone operator to crash it over you or not. A more interesting approach (although more expensive to implement) would be that the two sides in team deathmatch had a different set of drone models.

I think the lights are red for the other team and green for your team but my main issue is that MY team shoots my drone more than the other team even after flying past them so a HUD Icon would stop that and there already is an icon for friendly players so why not drones

YES, please add this I'm sick and tired of my teammates shooting down my drones please add this!!!!!!!!

I don't think a friendly indicator should be added for drones but I think, like what they (used to) do for teamkilling, kill x amount of teammates get kicked,
1. they should bring that back.
2. they should do the same for drones but more.
Maybe something like 'kill 3 teammates or shoot down 5 friendly drones' and you get kicked from the lobby.
You can add all these things to help players out but there's only so many things you can add before you start sacrificing realism and immersion.
Personally I think a friendly indicator for drones is a bad idea, it would look shitty to look over the map and see a bunch of arrows floating in the sky, I think treating friendly drones the same as friendly players in a teamkill sense is a better idea since it would force players, new or experienced, to be more aware and cautious of what they shoot at.

Dumb folks in this comment section.
1. This isnt real life we should be able to tell whats friendly and whats not. Henry, people hear drones across the map theyll shoot it friendly or not. Doesnt matter if its close or not. We already have the perfect indicator in the green arrow and box.
2. why would you punish someone by kicking them for shooting somsthing they cant tell is friendly. You know whatll stop someone shooting a drone on instinct. Adding a friendly icon so we can tell like our own teamates stuff apart. A teamkill punishment is really only used when you KNOW its a friendly. When there is no real way of telling them from afar punishing that is stupid. Just add a friendly indicator and a punishment either wouldnt be needed or actually makes sense.

Most of the time if I see an drone, I am not abile to diferent between my and the enemy time. There are colors to show wich team controlls it, but for some reason I don't see them and after all fast moving things that can quickly make work of you will require more reflects than brain power. So a Solutio would be to see them like players with an green outline or make the color glow stronger.

ive done this you done this. Anytime ive seen or heard a drone i take pot shots at it not caring if it's my teams or not so can there is better identification for the drones or make them immune to friendly fire

Teammates shoot your drone, because they can't see if it belongs to a teammate or an enemy.
This is pretty frustrating, especially when your already struggling to control a drone in acro mode.
So it would be good if it got a green square and/or green distance meter just like teammates.
Smooth Operator19 Sept
It's hard to tell if an rc-car or drone belongs to an enemy or a teammate, so some people just shoot them, sometimes right after you deploy them.
It would be good if they got a green square/distance meter indicator just like teammates.
