Add Night/Thermal Vision Optics - Too see in the dark/night

what if the body camera hardware itself had built-in night vision and thermal imaging modes that players could toggle on the fly?Since the game heavily revolves around the realistic perspective and UI of an actual body-worn camera, switching the camera’s digital filter/sensor mode would fit the aesthetic perfectly. Why This Would Be Great for Gameplay:True-to-Life Gear: Modern tactical body cams often feature infrared and low-light sensors. Building this directly into the device keeps the immersion intact without needing extra gear slots.Immersive Visuals: Cycling through camera display modes (Standard Color $\rightarrow$ Low-Light Infrared $\rightarrow$ Thermal) right on the body-cam UI would look incredible and amplify the gritty atmosphere.Tactical Map Variety: It would make dark rooms and unlit environments far more strategic, as players have to rely on the camera's built-in digital enhancements rather than just a flashlight.Built-in Limitations: The devs could balance it easily by adding digital grain, battery drain, or static interference when moving too fast, keeping it fair.

I think one feature that could add a lot of realism and immersion would be properly implemented thermal vision for both FPV drones and thermal weapon scopes/sights. For FPV drones, It would be interesting to have a thermal camera option that actually behaves like a real thermal sensor rather than simply applying a filter. It could have different thermal palettes, for example: White Hot Black Hot Red Hot Rainbow/Color Other realistic thermal color palettes The same could be implemented for thermal scopes and sights, with different display/color settings depending on the optic. I think this would be especially interesting at night, in poor visibility or when trying to identify heat sources in Trenches (map) for example. At the same time, thermal shouldn't simply highlight players perfectly... Environmental temperature, distance, weather, vegetation, walls, vehicles, and other factors could affect how clearly something appears. That would make it feel much more authentic. For FPV drones specifically, having the choice between a normal camera and thermal camera could also give drones a more realistic reconnaissance role. Thermal imagery could have its own limitations, image noise, lower detail, different refresh rates, etc., instead of being a perfect night vision replacement. (Idk why but I could only upload one image. here is the rest I wanted to share with you.) https://tse2.mm.bing.net/th/id/OIP.DBRLnHi7CIW8eNKrLQMKEQHaD6?r=0&rs=1&pid=ImgDetMain&o=7&rm=3 https://assets.newatlas.com/dims4/default/742e193/2147483647/strip/true/crop/1200x628+0+0/resize/1920x1005!/quality/90/?url=http:%2F%2Fnewatlas-brightspot.s3.amazonaws.com%2F06%2F6f%2F5747f0f640fa8a057ca4f7205998%2Fprbanner-hiss-hd-1200x628.jpg

During my time in the army when we were in the field we were given thermal optics that could switch thermal sight on/off between regular red dot and thermal, or this could be added as helmet mounts alongside night vision goggles

I think this would be very interesting and good gameplay-wise, but it's gonna be hard to balance in a game like this. In real life, thermals are OP, but expensive. Everybody would use them in Bodycam if they were like anything in real life. Maybe early gen thermals but that makes no sense in a game inspired by modern conflict. If they ever get put in Bodycam, we're going to be waiting a very long time. They have priorities. Regardless, it's going to be very hard to implement such an optic without pissing people off making it too OP and breaking the flow of the game AND still being realistic. NV sights is a different story. Good, easier to balance, but that is based on when and if NVGs will get added. Less OP than thermals. NV sights would be very viable if magnified optics and non-specialised sights aren't compatible with NVGs. It gives a gameplay incentive to rock NV sights. Now NVGs with thermal clip ons are just borderline OP. Prob never getting added.

Everyone knows what a thermal scope is They would be useful in place of built in night vision and with a few balancing tweaks like making the thermal leave a trail make it realistically over brightened by any light source such as an enemy flashlight or just making guns like 5% worse when equipped it could be a very fun experience instead of fully exposing your location in the dark by having the flash out and it adds a sense of fear when if you have your flash light off and so does the enemy they might see you when you don't see them and on the Ballance if you have a flash on you can blind them if they ads

YES!! This is the ULTIMATE thing I'm after in this game, because we have maps that go completely dark, this would aid 100% but let us not stop there! Give each optic adjustable zoom levels too like their real life counterparts!
