Add New Game Mode: Drone and RC Car Racing

Under considerationby Raz / goosey · 02 Sept

Add dedicated racing modes for drones and RC cars. Players could compete on courses featuring checkpoints, obstacles, tight passages, jumps, and different terrain. Separate tracks could be designed around the unique handling of flying drones and ground-based RC cars. Races could support individual time trials and competitive multiplayer events.

There are games dedicated to fpv drone flight and racing that will always do it better the bodycam, it would be a waist of development.

A classic, round-based drone game mode focused on speed, agility, and precision. Mirrored lanes: identical tracks separated by bulletproof glass—watch other players right next to you. Surgical payload: drones carry small, concentrated charges; success depends entirely on a direct kinetic impact on the final target. Three-pillar scoring system: ⏱️ Speed: Points awarded based on the fastest completion time. ✨ Agility: Bonus points for clearing checkpoints without hitting walls. 🎯 Precision: Points based on the final impact zone: Head (100 points), Torso (70 points), Arms (50 points), Legs (30 points). Round-based system: synchronized starts. A strict timer automatically kicks AFK players to prevent lobby stalls. Rewards: Total score converts directly into in-game currency for purchasing cosmetic items and drone skins.

Yes ! They made so good work with drones. They accidentally build really good fpv drone simulator. It could bring a lot of people who just want fly with drones. For start it would be cool to have "drone mode" With no guns and unlimited drone cooldown. So u can just host it for yourself. Now if you do it in private lobby no bots game just keeps restarting...

Fully agree, the physics are already in the game, so turned into a dedicated mode, this is a total low-effort, high-reward feature. To the point about dedicated FPV sims: nobody expects this to replace Liftoff. Think of it like CS surfing/KZ. CS isn't a dedicated movement sim, but its movement modes give people thousands of casual hours, warm-up options between tactical rounds, and low-stress leaderboard chasing. Even starting small (like a no-cooldown track in the HUB or shooting range with basic checkpoints/leaderboards) instantly expands the game's replayability without taking away from standard combat.
