Include Versus mode in the competitive ranking system and award rank points based on match results. Versus matches can require a significant amount of time and effort, so their rewards should reflect their length and difficulty. Versus in competitive game mode makes more sense rather than wingman. Bring wingman to casual play and versus to competitive. Having five vs five competitive mode like in cs would sound pretty interesting.
