Add Environmental Destruction
Under considerationby Gt · 01 Sept
Allow selected environmental elements, such as windows, wooden walls, doors, and light cover, to be damaged or destroyed by gunfire and explosives.
Each material could react according to its strength and the weapon’s caliber, allowing powerful weapons or grenades to create new openings and lines of sight.
Limiting destruction to specific elements could preserve map balance and performance while making combat feel more dynamic and realistic.

I absolutely love how much more alive and immersive Bodycam now feels since the major update, but one thing that is a real immersion breaker for me is the lack of interactive ability with the map itself.
Let's say you shoot a pack of cigarettes or a hanging cable. Rather than breaking or dangling in response to my shot, they currently just stand statically as immovable objects.
It wouldn't only just improve immersion, but if implemented in respect for multiplayer, it'd even become a handy game mechanic.

toilets shatter, drinks pop, boxes and debris moves and breaks when shot

I would like to see a small environmental destruction feature where wall corners can break when hit by bullets or explosions. Nothing too large or complex — just the corners of walls becoming damaged or breaking when they take enough impact. This would make combat feel more dynamic and realistic without adding major destruction to the environment.

Don't make every wall a massive 3D mesh chunk. Break walls down into discrete physical layers:
Structural Frame (Unbreakable Grid): Wooden studs or metal rebar that remain standing after the drywall breaks. This maintains sightlines, prevents complete geometry deletion, and guides level navigation.
Outer Layers (Drywall/Plaster): Thin planes that receive smaller micro-destruction (bullet impacts) and macro-fractures (explosions).
Material Properties: Assign material hardness values (e.g., Wood = low, Reinforced Steel = infinite, Concrete = high) to determine what weapons or explosives can breach them.

I agree with @blake.
Currently, interactive environments are lacking or completely missing. Even something as simple as destroying a ply-wood board piece of concealment could have very practical applications in a gunfight. Or opening up a new angle through a hole in a piece of drywall. It all has a very viable application.
Or, something purely cosmetic such as grenades damaging lights (think Tarkov Factory map, Office area) and walls.
It would add immersion, aesthetic and a surreal touch.
Obviously, individual pieces of destructible cover would be a lot easier and faster to implement than complete environmental destruction and interaction like R6:S but there's no reason something like that couldn't be implemented in stages.
Even small pieces of destructible concealment is a big W for gameplay depth.

Wood doors, panels and such could be destructible "quite easy" plus some concrete at the corners and some soft things arround you like tables and chairs. No need of super physics, just some pieces of the object and a simple ragdoll until next round or whatever. Penetration and choosing good cover has to be important in a game like this.
