Improve Weapon Anchoring and Sway While Aiming
Under considerationby NinJaPunch522 · 01 Sept
When aiming down sights, the weapon can feel as though the stock is not firmly connected to the player’s shoulder. During horizontal camera movement, the barrel sways independently and appears to pivot ahead of the player’s rotation.
Reduce this effect while aiming so that stocked weapons feel properly shouldered and move more consistently with the player’s upper body. The looser movement could remain during hip fire or canted aiming, where the weapon is not held as firmly.

I think sniper scopes should have realistic movement when aiming, especially at high magnification.
In real life, even a trained shooter can't keep a high-powered scope completely still due to breathing, heartbeat, and small involuntary movements.
It would be cool if the scope had subtle sway that becomes more noticeable at higher magnification, this could make long-range shooting feel more immersive and skill-based, and can balance out snipers.
I think this would fit bodycam's realistic style really well.

Currently, if you are ADS'ing with a rifle and move your aim left/right/up/down, the gun rotates around a point near the center of the gun first before your body and head catch up. This is not how anyone handles a gun IRL while aiming down sights. When moving the weapon while aiming down sights, the back of the rifle flops around, as if the stock isn't pressed against the characters shoulder. The drastically breaks immersion since I do not feel like I am playing as a person who knows anything about how to handle a firearm. It almost feels akin to Totally Accurate Battlegrounds.
The attached screenshots are taken while ADS'ing and moving my mouse. The fact that the back of the gun is pointing in two wildly different directions depending on which way I am turning implies either the stock is phasing through the character, or the character isn't actually using the stock when aiming down sights.

As of right now, I believe the movement of the weapons is too sluggish when turning. As someone with a military background and relatively average firearms training, you would expect a character with what would be assumed to be similar training to have much better weapons handling. It genuinely feels like you are swinging a 20 pound (9 kg) weight around lagging behind the movements of your body, making movement and combat feel unnatural. Additionally, ADS time should be reduced.

Tighten up the gun movement when aiming or provide an option. I feel like i'm just moving my camera and the gun follows after feels weird and hard to aim and floaty. And i feel like the suppressor sounds need a little work. They seem a bit louder than real life but still pretty close. But the game is awesome man. I love other gun nerds. The guns are so realistic dude it's sick.

Currently weapons with stocks just float out in front of the player. The butt of the stock should be affixed to the shoulder of the player character and when ADS the sight picture should be more still to simulate a shoulder+cheek weld on the weapon. This would be much more realistic and make using long guns feel better.

Add subtle, realistic weapon sway when aiming down sights, whether using iron sights, red dots, or scopes. Right now, if the mouse stays still, the weapon remains perfectly locked onto one point, which feels unnatural. Your aim should always have slight movement from breathing and natural body movement, with the amount of sway depending on stance and stamina. Perfectly stable aim should only be possible when the weapon is properly supported or mounted.

As someone who has guns and was training with special forces I was just about to post similar feedback. Hip fire, while sprinting, ... fine, but when ADS I do not think this is how professional is handling their gun :)

Currently under calm conditions your aim is dead set, there is 0 weapon sway.
This both nullifies the weight of the gun, the holding attachments, and also allows you to hit anything at any range with 0 difficulty.
