Adapt Face Censoring to Operator Equipment

Under considerationby Vince · 31 Aug

The pixelated face-censoring effect should adapt to the equipment worn by each operator. When an operator’s face is visible, the effect should focus only on identifiable facial features, such as the eyes, instead of covering helmets, balaclavas, or other equipment. Operators wearing gas masks or equipment that already completely conceals their identity should not receive the censoring effect.

Having face censoring is good, but I think it's a little overdone when it comes to operators who already have their face hidden by helmets, gasmasks, and balaclavas. Personally I would rather have face blurring be optional, but of-course it adds to the realism in game, how-ever I think it would be more realistic if censoring is only done on operators with their face fully visible and not operators wearing gas masks, balaclavas, tinted goggles & face masks, and so on

The purpose of blurring operators' faces is to keep them anonymous, at least, in the world of Bodycam, but operators who have full face masks are already unidentifiable and anonymous. It wouldn't make sense, in the world of Bodycam, for a person who is editing the bodycam footage to waste all of that time adding a blur to operators with full face masks that don't need to be blurred out. It would be more realistic for operators with full face masks to not be blurred. Plus, the masks look cool and I want to see them in their full glory.
