Add Native HDR Support

Under considerationby James · 30 Aug

Add native HDR support to improve brightness, contrast, and colour reproduction on compatible displays. Support for formats such as HDR10 or scRGB, along with peak brightness calibration, would improve bright effects such as muzzle flashes, flashlights, and sunlight while preserving detail in darker environments.

Hi, the main game (not playtest) already has native HDR support. The issue now is that after trying the playtest, I noticed that the HDR support was removed. I also noticed that the light sources that used to shine bright and bold while still not getting in the way of the visuals are now completely overblown and crushed into pure white way more than the game pre-update. I really, REALLY hope that this is not the visual direction they are taking the game to because it honestly hurts my eyes more than HDR does and it straight up just gets in the way of the graphics more than complement them. I mean, HDR makes the game look WAYY more realistic and beautiful and removing that in favor of making the game look blown out and incorrect is just not it for me personally.

HDR is already in the game, unless I am missing something else?

Please consider adding a **native HDR option** to Bodycam. HDR would greatly improve the game’s realistic lighting, highlights, and deep blacks, especially on OLED and HDR monitors. Hope you can add it in a future update!

The game looks washed out, to really improve the quality HDR needs to be added

please add HDR - I am too lazy to switch my monitor to SDR mode to get best results.
