Add Visual or Audio Feedback for Kills

Under considerationby HypKerK · 30 Aug

Add clear feedback to confirm when the player has eliminated an enemy. This could take the form of a subtle HUD indicator or a short audio cue, such as a radio glitch sound. It would help players understand when an enemy has been successfully eliminated without requiring an exaggerated kill notification.

Great, but it should be almost noticeable, probably. The idea is good, but the way it is now is also good, because it's realistic that you don't know exactly what happened to him.

graphics are realistic but it would be nice if it actually showed who you kill

for example, the operator would say "kill confirmed" "bogie down" or "scratch" not only does this add to the realism because real life veterans use these callouts, it would also be very helpful to tell when you got a kill and overall make kills a lot more satisfying. THIS SMALL DETAIL WOULD IMPROVE THE GAME ALOT!

Just add kill feed that only you can see not a global kill feed.

I disagree. Not knowing whether or not you secured a kill can make a huge difference in modes where you don't respawn, like versus. If someone is running from you and you light them up but they get around a corner right as your last shot lands, you go and check to see if they went down or not, and to finish them if they didn't. This game is dedicated to realism, I don't need to magically know the second I secure a kill. That uncertainty is a really cool and unique feeling in a world of hit markers.

Hey devs, loving the game so far. The realism and tension are unmatched, but after putting a decent chunk of hours into it, I think adding an option for minimal hitmarkers or subtle kill confirmations could be a huge quality of life upgrade. I know the whole point of Bodycam is hardcore immersion with no clean HUD, so I definitely don't want bright arcadey hitmarkers cluttering the screen or ruining the vibe. But right now, shooting feels a bit floaty because there's almost zero feedback when your shots actually connect—especially at mid to long range. A few ways this could work without ruining the realistic feel: Audio-only option: Just a very faint, realistic impact sound (like bullet-on-fabric/armor or a subtle wet hit sound) instead of a visual icon. Tactical visual ping: Something super minimal, like a tiny white flash or subtle camera twitch on hit, that you can toggle off if you want full realism. Delayed Kill Confirmation: Maybe a subtle audio cue or a brief status text that only pops up 1–2 seconds after the target actually dies, so you still have to clear your corners before you know for sure. Making it a togglable setting in the menu would be the best of both worlds. The hardcore purists can leave it off, and players who want just a tiny bit clearer feedback can turn it on. Curious what everyone else thinks about this!

I've played Battlefield, Call of Duty, Hell Let Loose, Escape From Tarkov and now I'm playing Bodycam. I greatly believe adding some subtle hit-marker or sound mechanism would deliver a sense of achievement or satisfaction. I understand the game looks hyper-realistic, but I don't think that should mean the game in it's entirety should be entirely realistic. Personally, I downloaded the game prior to the Sep 2nd release, so I could experience the game before the improvements, and frankly the update is underwhelming, not from a technical or visual standpoint, but it has a lot of potential, but things that are already been covered in other games haven't been explored here yet, such as expanded maps, larger terrains. One of my favorite games that I still play to this day are The Last of Us multiplayer, and Battlefield 1. They both have their differences, but consistently deliver on the essentials. Realism should be an art style, not the defining characteristic of the game.

The game is realistic, but some feedback upon getting a kill would be really useful.

  • Matt06 Sept

yeah we definitely need something visually to show us that the kill was confirmed.

  • George06 Sept

Could even be just a slight hit marker sound - only when you kill or a slight flash around the edge of a screen or something like when the round ends

When shooting into a dark hallway or down range at what I think is an enemy player, I have to access the score board to know if it was a kill or if it was enemy/friendly. A kill counter somewhere tucked into a small part of the UI would be really nice to have. I don't care about K/D, just kills. Thank you for allowing suggestions and for considering mine.

I disagree. We should not have a live kill feed during the game, instead we should have a kill history page and Match Replay System at the end of the game. I like what Terry said on Sep03 "... I don't need to magically know the second I secure a kill. That uncertainty is a really cool and unique feeling in a world of hit markers." In the kill history page, I would like to see a list of enemy that I hit. How many time did I kill each of them. Where did I hit them? body, arms, legs and head. Bullet counts on each parts. This statistic could integrate with Match Relay System at the end of the game. Please also up vote this post "Add an In-Game Match Replay System", 790 votes as of 2026Sep28, <https://bodycam-suggestions.featureupvote.com/suggestions/727480/add-an-ingame-match-replay-system> Also, please separate kill number into Enemy kill and friendly kill.

So basically a glorified 'realistic' hitmark like cowadoody for the Xbox . Hell no, no milsimish/simish game does this for obvious reasons.

  • Abe08 Oct

Please don't do this. It breaks the immersion. This isn't COD.
