Add Killcams

Under considerationby John · 30 Aug

Add killcams that show the opponent’s perspective around the moment the player was eliminated. This would help players understand how they died, identify potentially suspicious behaviour such as aimbot or ESP usage, and submit more informed player reports.

Came here to suggest this. As a new player, I'm often finding myself wishing there was a killcam.

its deliberately not in the game. some of y'all want this game to be call of duty

Yeah this is kind of a "must have" even though I'm sure you'll need to get creative because of copyrights and whatnot, you'll figure it out. Maybe bake it in as a power-up that appears after 15 seconds?

Add a killcam from the enemy's perspective. This could be a great feature to help people learn about mistakes, positioning, and new strategies. Also, allow the killcam feature to be optional. Players can toggle it on/off in the tablet menu.

Got killed? Want to know where the player was or HOW ON EARTH you died? With Killcam's system being so realistic, it would be useful to see how you were killed. Of course, this could be switched on or off in the menu? I'd definitely be switching this on if implemented. Quick 1-2 second footage from the other player's POV before he fired that shot which killed you, could be helpful.

i would personally hate this, on trenches i'll find a beautiful spot and continue to wreck for a while, that would end the second kill cams are added. Killcams destroy immersion, and kill the fun of trying to figure out where your nemesis is hiding...

The reasoning behind this suggestion is sound, I think, but I don't think it's a good idea. The overarching problem with killcams is how annoying and disruptive they are for gameplay, and how immersion-breaking they are. If you have a strategy that relies on you being hidden, your entire strategy goes out the window the moment you get a kill. Perhaps that's why the devs deliberately skipped it. In my opinion, if you get killed, butthurt and want some petty revenge because you didn't check your corners, go back to the same spot and die the same way again... that's on you.

I think Kill Cams would help the player understand how they died and learn from that. personally, getting killed and spawning right after feels weird and adding a kill cam where you can see how you died would help with that a lot. I feel like you could implement this by when you respawn you have the option to open the tablet and having an option saying see kill cam, then that button would take you to the enemies' bodycam where you can see how you died. if its pitch black out and someone kills you, then on the kill cam it would have night vision (or maybe an outline of your character) on to allow you to see how you were killed in the dark (seeing this may also help you to report hackers as well). For something like versus that might be a little more difficult as you don't respawn instantly, maybe on the drone you can click a button to take you to the kill cam, or you don't need to click a button to see a kill cam and you automatically see it after death... Thanks for the consideration.

After death, all I want is 3 seconds of POV footage of who killed me before I respawn. I'm amazed I haven't seen this suggested yet...

sometimes we die not knowing what even happened, i personally would love to see how i was killed. add a quick replay of me getting killed please.

So many times we get killed but we don't know where we got killed from, a kill cam is a good feature to add.

for any suggesting is a COD feature... No... the idea is to look for potential cheaters. Is now a fact that cheaters exist in this game, also should be good to have a way to report fishy players once identified as cheaters.

I would like to see PUBG style killcam.

  • AAccountWithoutName27 Sept

so i see most of the people here saying "It breaks immersion" but i think its a good idea because i once was in a lobby with a cheater and couldnt prove it, in that lobby it could be pretty useful. I would make it if you get killed multiple times by the same person (5x or more) that the game asks you if you want to activate Killcam. In that way i would find it pretty good.

I find this is a feature used only for people who want to see/find the player that killed them. This is Bodycam NOT Call of Duty 34 or battlefield 10. No need for kill cams.

  • Abe08 Oct

Please do not do this. Or if you do, allow the host to disable it for everyone should they choose.

I want to know if a teammate killed me or not. I want to see it. I want to know who killed me.
