Add a Tutorial for New Players

Plannedby Specwolf · 30 Aug

Add a tutorial that introduces new players to the game’s main controls, mechanics, and menus before they enter a multiplayer match. It could explain movement, aiming, weapon handling, equipment, the tablet, drones, and basic game-mode objectives. The tutorial should remain replayable for players who want to revisit specific mechanics.

Since basically the first shot kills, the weapon doesnt really matter

You just point and shoot. We don't need tutorial. I think after like 6 months game will have complicated new features, it becomes harder to learn from starting. I Like the game right now. Its very simple. Point and shoot, hide n seek. Nothing too complicated. I just want to enjoy the game. Not study it.

Hi! I’m a new BODYCAM player and I accidentally spent all of my starting Reissad Points. Since I had just started playing, I thought I was still in some kind of tutorial and that the currency was temporary and given to me so I could try out different weapons and attachments. I didn’t realize these were my actual starting RP or that they would take a long time to earn back, so I spent almost all of them testing different attachments. My account is basically brand new with almost no progression. Would it be possible to completely reset my progression/account or restore my starting RP so I can start over? Thank you!

Right now, bots act like headless chickens. Let’s turn them into Anchored Room Defenders. It would give us the tactical single-player/co-op "CQB Training" mode everyone wants, while actually preparing new players for real online matchmaking. In Bodycam, RNG, corner covering, and dynamic room clearing have advantages that cancel each other out. This mode lets players master those mechanics safely before facing public lobbies. How it works: * Simulate Player Meta: Bots lock onto notorious camping spots, head-glitches, and dark corners . * Specialized Bot Roles: * CQB Defenders: Hide deep inside rooms, crouching silently behind cover to ambush you. * Sniper Anchors: Lock down long corridors or windows, holding tight pixel-angles. * Proximity Audio Gating: Utilizing the new sound propagation, bots ignore distant map noise. They only alert if you sprint, shoot, or breach within 20 meters of their zone. * No Brainless Sprinting: Alerted bots push angles at a slow, weapon-up combat walk. If you retreat, they reset after 10 seconds, walk back to their corner, and crouch back down. It highlights the best power positions and teaches players how to slice pies, use drones, and flash corners properly. It plays perfectly into the game's realism without needing crazy complex pathfinding AI updates! :)

the tutorial is legit the lobby, when you go to lobby the voice legit says "welcome to training" or "welcome to the tutorial"

When I first started playing I found it quite difficult to figure out how to set up the scope.

Much needed. After the tutorial, a profile with kills and K/D would give new players a simple way to see themselves getting better. I posted "Add Player Profiles with Kills and K/D Stats" if you would like to support it.

the thing that needs a tutorial in my opinion would be how to aim/throw grenades atleast for right now
