Would occur in the event of explosions, high caliber weapons and general events that would cause visceral organic decimation.
The general wound shape and style would be dependent on the blast or impact. (Eg. Burst heads for higher caliber weapons such as shotguns or marksman rifles)
Explosives can split, destroy and break limbs. bones can protrude based on the nature of the explosion (Eg. the blast is insufficient to cause major bodily harm the force could cause bones to break and protrude on bodily impact) Limbs should have the ability to be similarly split by high caliber weapons.
If you guys are interested in a sculptor/professional modeler for this I am always available at @._warp. on the Discord!
(I am a soon to be ex-ROBLOX developer as seen from some of my work I put below (sorry for the self promo<3) and I wanted to try my luck.)

The maps we have are decent, but a few more maps would be lovely.
I wanna see more blood, guts hanging out from a shotgun blast or a grenade.
Body parts need to start coming off depending on bullet damage. If I pop someone in the head with a shotgun or bigger caliber, I wanna see a headless corpse.
Also, leaving dead bodies the whole match would intensify the goriness of the map, making it look super real and horrific.

more gore stuff
Abendis30 Aug
I think I'd only like this if it was excessively hard to dismember someone. For example, only a drone explosion, or close to direct grenade explosion would cause dismemberment.
It would almost ruin it if typical gunfire would frequently dismember people...
Jeno31 Aug
Realistic dismemberment, like a head getting blown open or huge gaping wounds. guts falling out type stuff. spitting out blood as you die, looking down to your legs or arms half gone from a bomb... would be verrr noice indeed. prob not going to be allowed to stream it so def a gore limiter option.
Arya Behboudian31 Aug
A bright red texture is not enough for a bullet shot wound. In RDR2 you could see actual mesh getting on top of the wound which made so much realistic and felt real. That's for zombies' heads. For the helmet, I mean... how can you can even see blood on the helmet like it's flesh? Come on guys. Isn't is supposed to be bullet proof? You can just make it bullet proof which would make headshots harder and add realism by just making a smoke like effect when bullet hits the helmet and add yellow scratch marks with texture. For stronger bullets or multiple shots at the same area, you can kill the player but no blood should be visible on the helmet, Watch this for more detail: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OkmlXzi4m_U
and for the body, a simple dark circle (that has deformed normal map on it for more detail) is enough with a bit darker and transparent red around it for keeping the cloth fabric visible underneath. Honestly I wonder why you haven't done this one already.

Generative procedural gore refers to the automated, real-time creation of wounds, blood, and tissue damage in digital media (mainly video games) using algorithms instead of pre-made 3D models or textures.
Core Mechanics
Dynamic Mesh Cutting: Algorithms slice 3D character models exactly where a weapon hits.
Layered Anatomy: Character models contain hidden layers of bones, muscles, and organs exposed upon impact.
Procedural Texturing: Shaders calculate entry and exit wounds dynamically based on velocity and weapon type.
Fluid Simulation: Blood splatters utilize particle systems that interact with gravity, walls, and floors.

I thought this was something they already talked about and planned for the game? Honestly one of the bigger reasons Im sticking around to see what this game can become. Not enough shooters have gore anymore. Even Call of Duty walked away from it after WaW. This game would be perfect for it. I want to blow someones leg off with a shotgun and have it haunt my dreams. GIVE US GORE! Plz
Nick03 Sept
This would be an incredible feature. Using the upcoming "ILL" as a cream of the crop example https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nnzOjjnr3qE
I would be fully on board with some form of dismemberment implementation - only if it did not come at a significant performance cost (which I assume it would)... However... you guys have been putting pins in voodoo dolls or something to achieve very impressive performance given the lighting/textures/shaders etc so I wont count you guys out!

Here are some specific ideas I would love to see considered for future updates:
1. Zombie Mode
Redesign the zombie models and make them much closer to the realistic and disturbing.
The Zombie Mode could also be expanded into a genuine survival-horror experience. For example:
* Limited ammunition, forcing players to carefully manage what they have.
* Multiple possible routes to reach an extraction point.
* More realistic physical damage for zombies, including visible wounds, dismemberment, and severe head injuries.
* Different types and conditions of zombies, with varying movement speeds, appearances, injuries, and levels of decomposition.
These mechanics could transform the Zombie Mode from a traditional wave-based mode into a true survival experience where every decision matters.
2. Advanced Damage and Injury System
Instead of every hit simply immediately killing the player, injuries could have different consequences depending on where and how severely the player is hit.
For example, a serious leg injury could significantly reduce mobility, while an arm injury could affect weapon handling and accuracy. Severe wounds could cause the player to bleed over time. A tourniquet could be introduced as emergency equipment to stop severe bleeding. If the player is critically wounded and unable to receive medical assistance, they could eventually collapse and become incapacitated while still being able to defend themselves from the ground.
This would make being wounded feel like an actual physical condition rather than simply death.
3. More Advanced Physical Damage (Gore)
Explosions, drones, grenades, and shotguns could produce much more noticeable physical damage, including realistic blood effects and dismemberment where appropriate.
These details may seem small individually, but combined with Bodycam's existing level of realism, they could make combat feel significantly more physical, brutal, and immersive.

and as I said in the description, it might have already been added and I just did not notice...

ESPECIALLY WITH SHOTGUN HITS
temp8905 Sept
The only way I'd see this as an improvement to the game is if the severed limb ends are pixelated out the same way player character faces are. More consistent with the visual tone.
Nenzo Montana05 Sept
When a character is hit, blood comes from the wound. Blood can land on the ground and gradually form a visible pool over time.
If blood or a blood pool is already present on the ground and a character walks through it, bloody footprints can appear. Depending on how much blood is present, the footprints can vary in intensity and gradually become less visible over time.
Additional blood droplets, splatter effects, and smaller blood traces can appear around the area. The amount and intensity of the effects should depend on the type and location of the hit.
Sianks06 Sept
Useful in Zombies, or even REQUIRED, but even in normal modes it will do a great job.
Right now, ragdolls make it realistic, but the amount of blood coming out of Enemy, and these blood marks where He's been hit don't do the game's Justice.
When you come to enemy, he's *moaning*, you finish him off with shot to head, naturally it should feel cinematic not neutral. Half Sword is amazing game that made Blood realistic and optimised, would recommend having look at how they made it.
CGMan06 Sept
If this is added please make it optional. I don't want it
B-Bridg307 Sept
typically, when you kill someone in the game there's a chance the body starts seizing or whatever and screaming. I feel like there should be voice acting for different operator's, when you shoot someone in the leg and down them, while they scream, they should start saying stuff like "OW f*ck my leg, God damn help!!" stuff like that. And with the gore, actually make the blood fluid like, i feel like that would fit this game very well. Also with the gore, if you get blown up by a grenade add the character exploded leg, arm, legit guts spilling out if you need to. (I'm not a psycho i promise lmao)

If you do add that, please also add a toggle for this in the settings. I'm not sure I'd like to see everything inside someone come out as I shoot them - would probably make me sick.
Cheese259007 Sept
I know it sounds edgy asf but whenever you shoot a person with a shotgun they just a bunch of bleeding. I feel the immersion would be better if the gore was a little more realistic
Lirp_bogl0908 Sept
When someone is downed, depending on where the wound is, the blood should pool on the floor, and if you step in it, you will leave behind bloody footprints like in ready or not. also blood splatters dripping down surface's really makes it feel like a liquid instead of a png. Dismemberment is a little intense, but basic limb removal from shotguns at close range and head deformation from close range shots would be ideal. Also, basic blood splatter on the camera in rare cases, i just don't want it to be like that same full screen covered in blood thing that all games use to shoe that your damaged, i want it to be a realistic splatter on the camera that he can wipe off.
VaydorX09 Sept
Its a terrible idea. No one is going to stare at the body after they shoot it. People just shoot and run away. Its a useless suggestion!

Exatly faces are blurred for same reason, faces are hard to make look real and when done so exspressions and such are imposibble. And with wounds procedraly generate a rough jagged would (ex. Chunk of Leg shot off by shotgun) you have a super unrealistic wound thats just a cillender hole in the leg but blur like face and your mind is astonished by the power of your brain also with the pic below just imagine it less realistic but then blur lije face and your brain fills it ib like this
(also to make this nervous and fearing the wrath of ue5 you make anatomy in side the human like organs ex. The intenstins have a fabric property and a psi of 4 elasticty 64% then you shoot a person with shotty in stomach removes skin in tue radius intestines spill out, and blur it because im not making you make my intestines in 4k ultra hd and its impossible)
Landen14 Sept
I do really love the idea of this. although having entire heads come off might make it seem less realistic. If you were to go off of what Thibault Catimel's comment displays, I think that would be very good for the game. when I'm in other realistic games and entire heads come off it just seems a little much (unless a drone or grenade detonates right next to their head). but I and other players would love to have this in the game, just ads that much more aversiveness and horror of war to the game.
eldergodtatcics14 Sept
add some but not to much gore and prob dont add coughing up blood
gKq14 Sept
adding gore similar to Ready or Not, The last of us, Read Dead Redemption 2 would make the game more realistic and "fun" to play.
Chippyhands14 Sept
I like this feature, but I'd only add dismemberment / gore with the shotguns or sniper rifles.
Aaron16 Sept
I was a machine gunner in Afghanistan with the U.S. Army. The only times things ever seemed to end up as gruesome as people here are requesting was in the event of explosions. IED's, VBIED's, grenades, etc. Large caliber weapons are the exception and Bodycam focuses on small arms. I think a gore system would be fun for those use-cases, but applying a dismemberment feature across the board would diminish the almost banal realism of warfare that this game is great at portraying.
Kiloh18 Sept
In terms of gore/dismemberment, I believe it should give the player a sense of "satisfaction" in the sense of knowing how powerful the weapon they are using is. To equate this feeling would be similar to Call of Duty: World at War, using the trench gun or the FG42. The trench gun has an infamous past and speaks for itself and the FG42 (also infamously) has the RPM to shred organic objects with ease. In implementation to the game, this should be dependent, of course. 9MM should obviously not cause dismemberment. However, grenades, drones and RCs, shotguns, and many more high-powered or rapid-firing firearms should demonstrate their power and effectiveness in a reasonable, yet "easy" fashion. For a game's sake, it should be relatively easy (especially with the RK being the first weapon available), so as not to become an irritating barrier, but also be hard enough to give that same satisfaction.
Cheers, devs! Great job so far!

This would be so so cool. I really like the idea of a possible flame thrower at some point, maybe only 1 in the middle of one map. Then later after the gore system is added we could see the charring and burns. These weapons are powerful, good job team!
Pat26 Sept
I'd rather not see more gore, feels unnecessary. Eliminate and move on, I don't need any visuals of internal organs or whatever. Dead is dead. The screams are a great idea, adds to the atmosphere of the game.
R. M.03 Oct
Real-life ballistics don't look like Hollywood movies with blood flying everywhere. adding a toggle for disabled gore is essential for players who prefer a less graphic experience. losing a limb would realistically only happen from explosives, high caliber rounds, or an excessive amount of concentrated gunfire. It would be even less visible when you consider that operators are wearing heavy tactical gear and layers of fabric that absorb most of the blood. Honestly, reducing the blood—especially the blood splatter—would feel much more realistic.
xav.zak.michi05 Oct
wierd hopefully theres an option to disable this
xav.zak.michi05 Oct
add an option to disable gore if it comes out just incase there's a younger audience

I think this could also expand with the operator accessories being damaged as well, such as face shield or visors being cracked or broken if hit by shrapnel or bullets.
