Add Realistic FPV Signal Interference to Drone Feeds

Make the drone video feed more closely resemble real-world FPV footage. As signal strength decreases, the image could develop realistic analogue interference such as static, snow, breakup, and reduced clarity, similar to the provided reference.
The drone’s on-screen display could also show useful flight and signal information, with configuration options where appropriate. These changes would make piloting drones feel more authentic and improve the overall FPV experience.

a lot of drone goggles have artifacts which changes based on if its digital or analog, i think it would be really cool if you could buy your own drone goggles which can have either effect. if you do not equip goggles in your loadout you could control your drone from your tablet instead.

instead of drones hitting the skybox boundary, have it lose signal when going out of bounds to maintain immersion

I keep hitting the map border with my FPV drone because there’s basically no warning that you’re getting close. Maybe the drone could start losing signal or have some kind of interference when you get near the border, so you know you’re getting too close before you actually hit it.
It would make flying FPV drones around the map way less annoying and feel more realistic too

Invisible walls hurt drone gameplay for obvious reasons. A more realistic way to keep drones in allowed areas is to add video noise and distance warnings when the player flies too far. This lets the player recover without being punished immediately.

This could be a great way to balance FPV drones in the future.
Maybe some attachments like the antenna will enhance the drone ability or you could add fiber optic with the negative effect of having cuttable fiber wire that leads straight back to you.
