Add a variable stance system similar to those found in Bellum and Arma Reforger. Players could hold the crouch control and use the scroll wheel to gradually adjust their character’s height, providing more precise control when aiming or taking cover.
Do it like in Ready or Not holding alt while crouched/peaking does a low peak. You can't move when doing it but you can be lower to the ground while having the ability to quickly retreat back by standing up. The game definetly shouldn't have prone cus that is just mean and inpractical with all the gear but getting low to the ground while crouching/peaking should be an option. Inpractical because I went prone with a stack of 6 mags on my chest and bent my mags as well as hurt my chest(((
I adore Tarkov's crouch system, hold crouch and scroll wheel up and down to adjust height. Super simple and so useful.
Im always in a situation where I wish i could change my crouch height to peek over cover
