It would be nice to be able to access the loadout section inbetween rounds, and also in the time of the pre-match. This way you can just for example change a scope on a weapon to better fit the map that's going to be played.

It would be great if we could change our loadouts during a match, perhaps between rounds or after respawning. For example, if you are playing on a close-quarters map, you could switch from an assault rifle to an SMG without having to leave the match. This would let players adapt their equipment to the map and the way the match is unfolding.
Agreed. This is especially important when playing with a party or when you're in a good lobby. Having to leave just to make a loadout change can mean losing the lobby or having to set up and rejoin the party again. Being able to edit loadouts during the pre-match and between rounds would solve this.
With limited custom loadout slots, being unable to modify loadout makes adapting play-style mid-game an issue. The other option is to unlock custom load out slots, but that's a messier option.

The option to customize your weapons and change your attachments mid-game. For Example; say you're playing on a large map like "Trenches" but you have a 1.25x Sight equipped so you can't see anyone outside. Well now you'd be able to switch to your ACOG or a more magnified sight while in the middle of the game. (And maybe even be able to purchase attachments and guns mid-game without having to back out to the lobby too.)
I fully endorse that.
