Add Back Manual Camera Correction
Under considerationby Rad · 26 Aug
Camera Correction is the animation of your character adjusting the POV camera with their left hand/off hand. You used to be able to manually do this with one of the mouse buttons, but it was removed.
I ask that you add this feature back as an initially unbound, but bindable, keybind. Meaning; you will have to go into your settings and manually bind the feature to a key for the feature to work. No accidental key presses, not initially enabled for players (so no conflicting binds).
A hidden feature that adds a lot to the game:
- Adds to the ambience of the game. Although your character sometimes does it automatically, the ability to touch it yourself—I would argue—adds more tone than the ammo checking ability. Although, alongside it, it helps set the tone of bodycam. That tone is total realism, while providing an experience that makes you feel like you're actually inside the game.
- Adds the feeling of more player control. Adding onto the last point, player control makes you feel actually immersed into the game. It's features like this that make Bodycam feel so unique for user-experience.
- Is an awesome tool for edited videos. (See attached.)
- Unharmful. No downsides. You have to manually enable it to use it and it is unexploitable.
- It is just radical. I cannot explain it, but to those who like it, there's a reason why.

My first TDM Match my character was adjusting the camera too often and i couldnt fight properly. If the player is adjusting the camera automatically it should only happen after special events in my opinion. Like after shooting a lot, running or changing the stance a lot. Maybe make an automatic and manual mode. Manual like where the camera is slowly sagging down until the player decides to adjust it.

to add to that, when i click voice chat the guy touches the camera? I liked it when it just pressed it with no animation, and if anything, I would imagine the comms would be on your chest or have and activated button attached to your gun to avoid an animation at all.

This whole "your character reaches up and fucks with the camera every now and then" thing is really annoying to me because it's lost me a few gunfights and I have no control over when it happens. Instead, I propose an alternative: have your camera slowly shift off-center as you play, getting worse as you move, whip around, and shoot, and give us a button to play that animation and straighten our camera up. It achieves the same effect, while giving control to the player over when it happens.

I just started playing this game the day before the major update, and my friends have been really complaining about the random camera adjustments. I don't care for them either, but its been in 90% of my playtime now, so I have had less of a learning curve than them. I also don't personally care for it being random. Its supposed to mimic real world conditions of a body came, but it just doesn't make sense that I, as the character, am not in control of the action.
Still keep it in the game. Possibly double down on the mechanic as I am about to suggest, but keep the player in control.
Double down on the concept:
Certain triggers in the map could cause the lens to fog up and cloud vision and/or the lens get wet with droplets that distort portions of your vision like a camera would.
knocking your head at a sprint or under something like the ladder or hole in the wall on Russian Building could set the angle slightly ajar
The difference:
A button input to trigger the "fixing camera" animation. Like how you have to wipe your gas mask in the Metro series or some horror games that require you to blink. You can still get caught off guard by other players, but at least it would be the player's poor planning rather than a randomly decided event.

Id love this too adjust it manually, with it slowly drifting in a direction over time as you move and jump, and it slightly altering your view if you don't adjust it at all during a life, and id also love a general adjust of just it going up or down a little more than you usually would have it at
