I'm not entirely sure.
On one hand, I agree, it would be better, and pretty cool also. But on the other hand, I think maybe there should be some things to make sniping a little harder, to not have it overpowered. This could be one of those things.

1) please remove the automatic rebolt and change it so that you rebolt once you aim out of the scope. As someone who makes sniping content, it’s much better looking when you shoot someone and watch them after. At the moment you shoot and it’s instant rebolt. This also gives people an option.
2) prone option. Not 100% sure why there is no option to prone, but a sniper kinda relies on this pretty heavily.

Give us the option to manually operate the bolt after a shot. Useful to conferm weither or not the shot was successful.

RO2 manual bolting worked by just pressing the firing button again, and it was good. Give this option for players who don't want automatic bolting.

And I concur.

Battlebit also made you left click again to cycle after shooting and it works quite well

It could be as simple as only cycling the bolt when the left click is released. If you click, it cycles. If you click and hold, it doesn't cycle until you release.

Bolt should cycle on release of fire key, so you can hold it down to see the shot. Or on release of ADS.

The UX mechanism should be this: Initiate bolt cycling when LMB/fire is released.
This option may need to be toggleable, but it's the smoothest way to implement this in my opinion.

This would be a great addition - one way to implement would be to bolt when mouse1 (or what ever key is set to FIRE) is released - hold it, for manually delaying, or click to be "automatic"
