- 130Add Gameplay Effects to Different Ammunition Types
Add different ammunition types with distinct visual and gameplay properties. Examples could include armour-piercing rounds with improved penetration and tracer rounds that produce a visible projectile path. Tracers would be particularly impactful during night rounds, making sustained fire visually impressive while also revealing the bullet’s trajectory and potentially exposing the shooter’s position.
- 128Add Weapon Mounting on Surfaces
Allow players to brace or mount their weapon against suitable surfaces such as walls, windows, and low cover. Mounting the weapon could reduce recoil and improve stability while limiting the player’s movement and aiming range.
- 127Add New Weapon: G36
Add the G36, a 5.56×45mm assault rifle known for its distinctive polymer design and modular construction. It could provide a versatile option for medium-range engagements, with manageable recoil and support for a variety of optics, foregrips, muzzle devices, and other attachments.
- 126Allow Follow-Up Shots to Stop Death Screams
Allow players to stop an enemy’s ongoing death scream by shooting the body again. Death screams can continue for several seconds and cover important sounds such as nearby footsteps. A follow-up shot would provide a direct way to silence the audio and restore awareness of the surroundings.
- 125Add an Adjustable Field of View (FOV) Setting
Add an option to adjust the field of view of the first-person camera. The current fixed FOV can feel too narrow, making it more difficult to see the surroundings and acquire targets comfortably. Players could select an FOV within a reasonable range, with the current value remaining as the default to preserve the intended bodycam presentation.
- 124Remove Kamikaze Drones from Competitive Modes
Remove kamikaze drones from competitive modes, where repeated drone attacks can lead to easy eliminations with limited counterplay. Competitive matches should place greater emphasis on gunplay, positioning, and teamwork. Kamikaze drones could remain available in regular modes, but their cooldown should be increased to prevent excessive use.
- 124Add an Extraction Shooter Game Mode
Add an extraction-shooter mode in which players deploy with a chosen loadout, explore a large map, collect weapons, attachments, and other valuable resources, and attempt to reach an extraction point alive. Successfully extracted equipment and rewards could be kept for future matches, while dying would risk losing the items carried into the operation. Bodycam’s realistic combat and weapon customization could make this a tense, high-stakes experience for solo players and squads.
- 124Add an In-Game Player Reporting System
Add an in-game interface that allows players to report cheating, harassment, hate speech, and other disruptive behavior during or after a match. Reports should include a selectable reason and the relevant player and match information, giving the moderation team the context needed to investigate misconduct.
- 121Add Ballistic Helmets and Body Armor
Add equippable ballistic helmets and plate carriers that protect only the areas they physically cover. Different armor types could provide varying levels of protection and gradually lose effectiveness after receiving impacts. Heavier equipment should introduce tradeoffs such as slower movement, reduced stamina, louder footsteps, or less responsive weapon handling. This could reduce some instant deaths without dramatically increasing the overall time to kill.
- 121Add High-Visibility Iron Sights / Tritium Night Sights for Weapons
The idea is as simple as it gets: mechanical sights are practically invisible in the dark, so why not add tritium glowing front sights? There are people who prefer mechanical sights to optical or collimator ones, and for them this will be a nice bonus, and in general, the implementation of such a detail as a separate module is cool. Selecting the type of front sight and the color of the dot/line itself.
- 120Increase the Maximum Player Count Per Match
Allow more players to participate in the same match by increasing the maximum player count. Larger teams could create more intense firefights and provide additional variety for game modes and maps suited to higher player counts.
- 119Add Chambered Round Mechanics
Track chambered ammunition separately from the rounds inside the magazine on compatible firearms. Performing a tactical reload while a round remains chambered should allow a full magazine plus one additional round, such as 30 + 1. Reloading from empty should require the weapon to chamber a new round before it can fire. Reload and inspection animations should accurately reflect the weapon’s current chamber state, adding more depth and realism to ammunition management.
- 117Allow Multiple Saved Setups for Each Weapon
There should be an option to save a setup for a weapon. Say I want to have 2 different setups for the M4 and don't want to go through swapping each attachment to go back and forth between the 2 setups I like. We should be able to save multiple setups for each gun.
- 116Add New Map: Paris Catacombs
Add a map inspired by the Catacombs of Paris, featuring a maze of narrow underground tunnels lined with skulls and skeletons. Limited visibility, unsettling ambient sounds, and occasional human-like shadows could create a tense and disorienting atmosphere reminiscent of the Backrooms while providing intense close-quarters combat.
- 115Make Reloading Depend on Player Focus
Make reload performance depend on whether the player looks down at the weapon and follows the operator’s hand movements. Watching the reload could make it slightly faster and more reliable. Looking elsewhere would preserve situational awareness but increase the chance of small hesitations or mistakes that slow the animation. This would create a meaningful choice between maintaining awareness of the surroundings and focusing on completing the reload efficiently.
- 113Add Firearm Melee Attacks and Bayonets
Allow players to perform close-range melee attacks using their equipped firearm, such as striking an enemy with the stock or muzzle. This would provide a last-resort option during point-blank encounters, including when the weapon is empty. Being struck could briefly interrupt aiming and trigger an appropriate camera or weapon reaction, giving the attacker a momentary advantage without necessarily making standard firearm strikes lethal. Compatible rifles could also support bayonet attachments, providing a more lethal melee option and expanding close-quarters loadout choices.
- 112SKR-H (Scar-H) has the incorrect caliber profile assigned (5.56x45 instead of 7.62x51)
The SKR-H (Scar-H) rifle does not use the 7,62/.338 caliber that the real life counterpart uses, and the magazine size implies. However, it seems to be using 5.56/.300 caliber ammunition - the one that the "smaller brother" uses - Scar-L Adding Scar-L would be awesome (while most of the weapons animations could be recycled from Scar-H, while reloading and mag operations could be taken from M4A1) Otherwise, please change Scar-H to use the 7,62x51mm / .338 caliber
- 110Add a Refund Option for Accidental Purchases
Allow players to cancel or refund their most recent weapon or attachment purchase if it was made accidentally. The refund could be limited to a short time window and only apply before the item is used or equipped.
- 103Add Shotgun Chokes and Slug Ammunition
Add interchangeable chokes that modify the pellet spread of buckshot and birdshot shells, allowing players to customise their shotgun for different engagement ranges. Also add slug ammunition, which fires a single projectile for improved accuracy and effectiveness at longer distances compared with standard pellet-based shells.
- 103Add Ping and Region Restrictions for Hosted Matches
Allow hosts to set optional ping and region restrictions for their peer-to-peer sessions. Hosts could define a maximum allowed latency, prevent players above that limit from joining, or remove them if their connection becomes consistently unstable. They could also restrict matchmaking to selected regions. These settings should remain optional so hosts can prioritise connection quality when needed while still allowing unrestricted sessions for players who want to play with friends in other regions.
- 102Allow Players to Throw Back Grenades
Allow players to pick up and throw back live grenades before they detonate. This should be a risky, time-sensitive action with a short interaction window, allowing skilled players to react to grenades thrown into confined spaces.
- 101Add Realistic FPV Signal Interference to Drone Feeds
Make the drone video feed more closely resemble real-world FPV footage. As signal strength decreases, the image could develop realistic analogue interference such as static, snow, breakup, and reduced clarity, similar to the provided reference. The drone’s on-screen display could also show useful flight and signal information, with configuration options where appropriate. These changes would make piloting drones feel more authentic and improve the overall FPV experience.
- 99Add Suppression Screen Effect
Add a Squad-style suppression effect for when bullets crack nearby or hit close to the player. Effects would include screen desaturation/graying, blur, slight camera shake, and increased aim sway — scaling with how close and how much incoming fire there is. This would make firefights feel heavier and encourage taking cover, similar to how Squad handles being shot at.
- 98Add Adjustable Crouch Height
Add a variable stance system similar to those found in Bellum and Arma Reforger. Players could hold the crouch control and use the scroll wheel to gradually adjust their character’s height, providing more precise control when aiming or taking cover.
- 98Increase Grenade Throwing Distance
Could the grenade throwing mechanics be adjusted? The current distance and trajectory feel unrealistically short, almost as if the character lacks physical strength.
- 97Add a Capture the Flag Game Mode
Add a classic Capture the Flag mode in which each team must defend its own flag while stealing the opposing team’s flag and returning it to their base. Bodycam’s minimal interface could give the mode a more tactical identity. Without constant carrier markers or a minimap, players would need to rely on direct visibility, communication, and callouts to locate the flags, escort their carrier, or pursue the enemy carrier. The mode could support several maps and encourage coordinated attacking, defending, and team movement.
- 97Add a Native Linux Version
Add a native Linux version of Bodycam instead of requiring players to run the Windows version through Proton. Native support could provide a more reliable and optimized experience for Linux desktop users, including players using SteamOS-based devices such as the Steam Machine.
- 97Allow Aiming to Interrupt Reloads
Allow players to interrupt an active reload by attempting to aim. The character would stop reloading and return the weapon to a ready position as quickly as its current state allows. This would let players react more effectively when an enemy suddenly appears without increasing the reload speed itself.
- 95Make Magazine Checks Faster and Interruptible
Shorten magazine check animations so the operator quickly removes the magazine, checks the remaining ammunition, and reinserts it without performing an extended weapon inspection. This is particularly noticeable on some SMGs, such as the KRISS Vector, where the operator repeatedly manipulates the weapon before returning the magazine. Players should also be able to interrupt a magazine check by reloading, dropping the magazine, or switching to another weapon when they need to react quickly.
- 94Add Server-Enforced Brightness Settings
Add an optional server rule that locks the game’s gamma and brightness settings to standardized values during a match. Increasing the gamma can currently make dark areas significantly easier to see, giving some players an advantage and reducing the importance of flashlights and other lighting equipment. Server-enforced visual settings would provide a more consistent experience for everyone and could be enabled for hardcore, competitive, or private matches.
